Assembling Props for a New Commission

I'm assembling all the props I'll need to shoot reference photos for a new commission painting. (More on the commission soon!)

Two different designs of home-made cardboard and duct tape space-suit costumes (I'm not sure which one I'll use yet)

A mock-up of a planetary orrery (this will be one of the primary light sources for the painting...although I'll need a brighter bulb)

A cardboard and duct tape toy rocket

A wooden space shuttle model (my dad made this for me when I was 8...I've been waiting for a chance to put it in a painting)

A magnifying glass, and a ton of wooden building blocks (the colored blocks are the same ones I made years ago as props for 'Young Builder').

I will be building the 96x40-inch, aluminum panel for this commission this week, and should start shooting reference photos next week if all goes well. Stay tuned!
