Oil Transfer is the Best. Seriously.

I can't overstate what a fan I am of using an oil transfer to get a drawing from paper to panel or canvas.  It is the superior technique.  I used it today, with excellent results, and once it dries just a bit, I will be ready to start the under-painting for this reading-themed piece.  I'll use 'Space Reader' as a working title.[fusion_builder_container hundred_percent="yes" overflow="visible"][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type="1_1" background_position="left top" background_color="" border_size="" border_color="" border_style="solid" spacing="yes" background_image="" background_repeat="no-repeat" padding="" margin_top="0px" margin_bottom="0px" class="" id="" animation_type="" animation_speed="0.3" animation_direction="left" hide_on_mobile="no" center_content="no" min_height="none"]Space Reader Drawing Transferred to 30x18 inch AlI used a 0.5mm mechanical pencil to trace over the drawing, and was able to get a really nice level of detail in the transfer.  I find the basic shadow hatching to be really useful when a drawing has as many little drapery folds and contours as this one does.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
